Cacao vs Coffee

Coffee and cacao are often grouped together, but they behave differently. Coffee is driven by caffeine; high-cacao chocolate leads with cacao itself — and the compound that gives cacao its character, theobromine.

A different kind of energy

Cacao naturally contains theobromine, which gives high-cacao chocolate its deep, bitter and energising character. Many people describe the experience as calmer and more even than a strong coffee.
